My Story
What started out as a way to organize and track cattle turned into a mission.
I didn't grow up in the cattle business. I learned the hard way — long days, hard lessons, a thousand questions, and a stubborn refusal to quit until I figured out how it all actually worked. My hands are calloused and scarred from every barbed wire fence I stretched and stapled. I've calved heifers in the dark, and I've run a full-on calf triage out of my own kitchen when they decided to drop in the middle of a snowstorm — which, honestly, tracks. They always pick the worst possible night.
Here's what the long days taught me: ranchers are some of the hardest-working, most resourceful people you'll ever meet — and a whole lot of them are still running the entire operation off feed sacks, notebook paper, sticky notes, faded receipts, and pure memory. Let's be honest — some of y'all are one lost notebook away from a full-blown identity crisis.
I happen to be the kind of person who loves a good system — the kind who organizes things for fun and isn't even a little ashamed of it. So I started building spreadsheets to fix real problems, right in the cracks of the workday — thumbing formulas into my phone while I sat waiting to get loaded with hay. Somewhere along the line, I realized I'd found a way to combine two things I genuinely love: cattle and spreadsheets.
My love for this industry is probably borderline obsession, but if you've spent any time around agriculture, you understand why. Like Paul Harvey said — "So God made a farmer."
I can't claim to be one of the multi-generation ranchers born into this life. I learned it from the ground up, and I gained a deep respect for the people who live it every day.
When I'm not knee-deep in spreadsheets, I'm a mom, an entrepreneur, and a problem-solver who believes there's almost nothing that can't be sorted out with enough determination and a healthy dose of stubbornness. (Ask around — the stubbornness is well-documented.)
That's why I built Just Ranchin' Ledgers — not as another complicated software program with monthly fees, but as practical tools built from real-world experience to help producers stay organized, know their numbers, and spend less time chasing paperwork.
Because ranching is hard enough without having to remember where you wrote everything down.

You bought it. You own it. I'm not interested in charging you every month just to access your own records.
Built for offline.
Cell signal is a luxury on most ranches. Every ledger works without internet — download it once and it's yours.
Simple by design.
I don't add fields to justify a price tag. Every column in every ledger is there because a rancher actually needed it.
Rancher-tested.
These tools were used on working operations before they were ever sold. If it didn't hold up in the field, it didn't ship.
